Mondays- SkyHawks Sports

Skyhawks Sports Tiny Hawk football is a development program for kids ages 3 through 5 years old that uses a variety of fun games to engage kids while teaching the sport of football and developing fundamental skills. Our football games and activities are designed to allow kids to explore balance, movement, hand/eye coordination, and skill development at their own pace. Tuesday- Soccer Shots & i heart art

Soccer Shots is a nationally recognized program that offers a high energy, fun and age-appropriate introduction to the wonderful game of soccer. In addition to soccer, we work on improving children’s gross motor skills and teaching children important concepts such as teamwork, sharing and respect. i heart artDoes your child like to draw or paint?  If so, then i heart art is the perfect class to sign up for!  Art is a time for children to express their creative ability.  In this class, the students will be introduced to many fun, new projects, and experiment with different Medias.   Everyone has a creative side… I hope to bring out the ‘inner artist’ in each child!  See you in art class! i heart art Registration Form

We offer weekly computer classes for small groups of 3-4 children, work collaboratively in a nearly tutorial environment. Our curriculum reinforces reading, math, science, health, arts, and many foreign languages. Thursdays: Drama Kids

Let your kids ACT UP with us this year! The Drama Kids program is specially designed to build self-confidence, as well as strong speaking and acting skills through the fun and creativity of drama. Fridays: Mississippi Metropolitan Ballet & Bricks for Kidz

We are thrilled to bring Bricks 4 Kidz (www.bricks4kidz.com/406) to Central Mississippi! In our mobile Lego® Lab, students are able to design and construct machines, buildings and other models out of Lego® bricks, including robotics, for grades PK3-5th.  We provide all materials for students to work in a lab-type setting using Lego bricks with an integrated curriculum based on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (S.T.E.M.).   We offer classes throughout the school year and can tailor the program to your students’ needs and interests. Classes are taught by certified teachers in semester sessions meeting once a week. Be sure to check out our website www.bricks4kidz.com/406 to learn more about our program and see videos.  REGISTRATION FORMS ARE ONLINE. I have included electronic copies of a description of our curriculum, educational benefits of Bricks 4 Kids and sample lessons for our after school program.  The lesson/lego building time will be 40-50 minutes in length depending on age group. Come Dance With Us!  Dance is proven to improve poise, coordination, self confidence and concentration.The Mississippi Metropolitan Dance Academy, under the Artistic Direction of Jennifer Beasley,  has been providing excellence in dance training for over twenty years in the Metro Jackson area.  MMDA has two locations, Madison and Brandon, where currently over 600 students study ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop and contemporary dance.  We are proud to offer ballet/tap combination classes for students 3 to 5 years of age at Beth Israel Preschool.Balance, Hopping, Skipping, Jumping, Galloping(basic locomotor movements), age appropriate stretches, basic positions of the feet and arms and ballet class etiquette are part of the curriculum.   Fun, creative elements such as stories, games and other imaginative activities will keep the pace of the class upbeat and the students engaged.  Students will perform in MMDA’s year end recital in May at the Jackson Academy Performing Arts Center.  Register online-www.msmetroballet.com.For more information call 601-853-4508.

 Tuesday/Thursday: Piano Lessons with Mrs. Anna

This class will teach our amazing young artists ages 4.5 and up how to play the piano! The children will focus on various skills including basic reading of music, hand/eye coordination, learning and performing  piano pieces, how to identify and draw musical notation, focus, performance skills, stage presence and much more! The study of music enriches other areas such as language, math and life skills like attention to detail. They will also be encouraged to make up their own songs and express their creativity. I also offer festival and performance opportunities which are optional!
